THE AZALEAS - Assisted Living

Residents of The Azaleas can enjoy the luxury of their own spacious studio or one-bedroom apartment. Each apartment comes with a kitchenette, living room, separate bedroom and full bath. Our goal is to maintain our residents’ level of care so they may enjoy the luxury of living in their own home. We provide  24-hour care support according to individual needs.

The Azaleas offers many conveniences to our residents. Delicious meals are served daily in our beautiful dining area. Many meals are prepared tableside by our gourmet chef. For smaller gatherings, residents and families may dine in a lovely, private dining room. Residents of the Azaleas may also take pleasure in our beautiful community rooms including a cozy den with large screen television, activity room with full kitchen, and a beautiful library where you can find a good book and access to the Internet. Our monthly activities calendar is scheduled by our Activity Director. Social outings, exercise classes and group meetings may be attended on a daily basis.

The EVERGREENS of AZALEAS for individuals with early stages of Alzheimer’s

At the Azaleas, we recognize the necessity for specialized programs that are designed to meet the changing needs of individuals of dementia and the early stages of Alzheimer’s. The Evergreens is a designated, secure area within the Azaleas where residents are given compassionate care and security in a home-like setting. Each unit is a specially designed residential apartment where residents can live comfortably and joyfully.

When a person has short-term memory loss, their life is made up of moments. At the Evergreens, it is our goal to create moments of joy by building a bridge from the past to the present. Our program was designed around the philosophy of reminiscence, the process of looking on or telling about past experiences that brought joy to one’s life.

Each new resident meets with the below team members to discuss their needs and preferences. Team members include:

  • Care Coordinator
  • Activities Director
  • Director of Social Services
  • Director of Rehabilitation
  • Director of Food Services
  • Director of Environmental Services
  • Director of Building Services
As an additional service, Respite Care is offered to families to give them the opportunity to take time off from the demands of caring for their loved ones at home.
